CURRENT MISSION
Cycling from LA to San Diego. I have a bicycle and I'm not afraid to use it! Having spent the last few months obsessively reading bicycle touring blogs and adventure books I thought it was about time I had a go myself. So I am setting out on a mini tour, not sure where it will lead yet. Perhaps Mexico?

ABOUT ME
I'm originally from the UK but I have lived in Berlin, Germany for the past 4 and a half years. I work as a freelance designer and art director, mainly creating websites and apps.

Friends describe me as friendly, polite and open... and slightly mad for wanting to travel alone by bicycle. I guess that would also make me determined as once an idea is planted it can take hold and change the direction of things pretty quickly!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Because I've heard only great things from friends who have used the site. I like sharing stories and small funny cultural observations with people from different places. For me the most exciting travel experiences always seem to happen when you meet locals and so I hope to make even more friends in more places through couch surfing!

Interessen

I love taking photographs, and have a passion for film photography. My old slr is coming with me everywhere at the moment.

I also like to draw and usually have a pen and sketchbook close to hand.

I like to be active and spend a lot of time outside. The cold European Winter can make this harder to achieve which is why when I travel it's hard to tear me away from the beach if it's warm enough.

And my latest interest is bicycle touring. I would love to meet some people with more experience and hear about some great trips. If this trip takes off then I'd love to travel the world this way.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I moved to Berlin with no German, no money and no real plan. Almost 4 1/2 years later I've worked, made friends and created a home there.

I love to discuss and learn from people about different ways of living. I'm interested in sustainability and want to learn more about living in this way, perhaps you can teach me?

I also love hearing about topics ideas or places that I know nothing about. Hearing people speak about their passions always inspires me.
