I'm a university graduate hoping to begin a master's degree in September. I'm socially conscious and politically aware. I studied public health and have worked in mental health and addictions in the inner city, and now volunteer in HIV/AIDS prevention, pro-democracy activist organizations, and hopefully will soon become a figure skating instructor with the Special Olympics! I love hiking, especially long hiking trips. I began rock climbing last summer and want to improve my skiing and climbing so I can begin mountaineering.
I love meeting kind, honest, intelligent people; they make my world go round.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

*I live with housemates and we will need to agree that is a convenient time to host guests before accepting any requests. Please give us plenty of notice if you'd like to come stay with us. Everyone in our house is very friendly and respectful of others' boundaries. We also occasionally have a massive dog around.*

Some of my best traveling experiences have come from couch surfing. It's the best way to become immersed in the culture, learn about current politics, and practice another language. As beautiful as any given country may be, it's always the people that I remember.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always happy to help people improve their English. I can teach you to ice skate or play a little guitar, and inform you about issues relating to Vancouver and Canada. Time, weather and ability permitting, I'm happy to take people up into the mountains.

I'd love to learn how to sail, mountaineer, and garden. I've had brief encounters with all areas before, but I'd like to gain more in depth knowledge.
