About Me
I live to make the world a better place! I go adventuring for fun.
I work as a physicist in the nuclear power industry. The best part of my job is working to make nuclear power plants less radioactive through applying innovative technologies and chemistry control strategies. I find this work exciting and important because it helps my colleagues more easily produce massive amounts of carbon free electricity, which is vital for keeping our air clean.
Meeting interesting people and learning more about the world we live in is one of my favorite things to do! My favorite food is coconut. I love dinosaurs.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because connecting with people is the most fascinating and rewarding part of travel.
Also, fellow couchsurfers know the best stuff to do locally!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I read a lot of science, engineering, and business school books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am leading a University of Arizona entrepreneurship team in commercializing hookworms as a treatment for rheumatoid arthritis, and a host of other autoimmune conditions.
We have identified a species of hookworm that both releases natural anti-inflammatory compounds and activates parts of the human immune system that can heal a host of autoimmune, allergic, and inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, and asthma.
I am excited about this because it offers a much less expensive, more effective, and safer treatment for hundreds of thousands of patients worldwide who are struggling with painful inflammatory conditions.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a huge proponent of the conscious capitalism movement, which is about using businesses to make the world a better place for everyone.
