About Me

Im a mathematics major with a strong interest in languages and cultures. I enjoy travelling and plan to do it all the time when Im done with university. I like memes and cartoons, and tend to be a bit introverted.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think there is no better way to get to know a place than by interacting with someone who lives there. The insider knowledge a local can offer is better than anything you could find in some tourist brochure.
I do travel with my brother Kyle sometimes, but he has yet to make a profile.

Sometime when Im in a better spot in the future Id like to be able to host people again (Ive done so before but not through this particular program.)

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is all over the board, but punk-rock is probably my favorite genre. I can jam to pretty much anything though.

My favorite movies are either kids movies or horror movies, with The Lion King being the all time favorite.

I like books that make me think, both fiction and non-fiction. I love A Brief History of Time and The Tao of Pooh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Im a published research scientist in the field of astrophysics.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you the basics of German or ASL if you're interested, or how to read Hiragana. Im also a math/physics tutor, so I can teach you math or just chat about how the universe works. Also pretty great at making friendship bracelets and can show you my tricks.

Id love to learn more languages, how to cook more authentic food, or how to do things with my hands (like knitting or fixing cars). Honestly though if you have knowledge you want to share Im probably interested in learning it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories about being homeless in another country. Random trivial knowledge of how things work. Discussions about the known universe and its workings on a cosmic scale. Generally easygoing company.
Im also probably the best dish washer you can find.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
