I currently reside in Grand Rapids Michigan, and honestly I am in love with this city. I have lived here for the majority of my life, and will probably remain living in Michigan until I die. I have fallen in love with the Great Lakes state. It is a freshwater paradise of the north. Right now I work part-time at Founders Brewing Co. The other half of my time is spent metalsmithing in my shared studio space with precious gems and metal. When I am not working you can find me out hiking and exploring the woods and beaches. I am in love with swimming in the crystal clear waters and white-sand beaches of Lake Michigan. During the summer I travel around to different music festivals and vend my wares with kindred spirits. I am in love with all the beautiful souls I have met, and I am excited for the future.

I am interested in exploring all over the U.S. and abroad. I want to know what to do from locals in places I visit all over the world. Most of the time there is so much that will never be found in any travel book that locals know best. I want to do as many things as possible, with what little money I have. My boyfriend and I are traveling to Scotland this summer, and so I wanted to connect with people and find places to stay.

Skinny dipped in Lake Superior in the Porcupine Mountains in Michigan's Upper Penninsula and it was AWESOME AND WARM. For those of you who don't know, Lake Superior is huge, it is the largest freshwater lake by surface area in the world. It is the cleanest lake in the world, and also it is fucking COLD most of the time. It's warm enough to swim in August, and a tiny bit of September. It feels like being on the edge of the world up there.
