Overview
About Me
I'm getting ready to do something amazing. I haven't had the opportunity to travel much and haven't left Canada since the nineties, but I'm about to spend two months travelling about in the US and I'm incredibly excited.
I love children and animals and I make handmade lace in my spare time. I'm part of a small publishing collective that prints political and social justice themed comic books and graphic novels.
I'm very much an ambivert; I am happy with parties but also with chill hangouts.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My favourite part of being somewhere new is seeing and experiencing what life is really like in that place. I'm interested in building community and making connections to people and doing so as a customer rather than a guest would make that much harder.

Music, Movies, and Books
I always have trouble with favourites, but here are some that come to mind:
Music: Metric, Buck 65, Astronautalis, Aesop Rock, POS, Dessa, Atmosphere
Movies: Everything Studio Ghibli, Lost Highway, Heathers, Pump up the Volume
Books: Currently reading The Soul of an Octopus and it's fantastic. A lifelong book that I never tire of rereading is Good Omens.
Teach, Learn, Share
Would you like to learn to crochet or tat? I'm happy to share my knowledge, and happy to learn anything fiber art related!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be thrilled to share some of my handmade lace; I can do up something small and custom in a couple of hours and I have a some pre-made pieces available too.
