I was a full-time engineer working a traditional 9-5 job for 24 years. Now I have left the corporate life to follow my dreams of becoming a professional photographer and traveling full-time. I love to travel and tried to fit as much travel in as I could with my previous limited vacation time. Now the world is wide open with unlimited time to explore it.

I love music (any and all kinds depending on my mood). I especially like going to listen to live music (concerts, music festivals, pubs, etc.) "My repertoire is music, all of it, everything I like, and it doesn't matter what style. Favorite movies include any Star Wars movie, MGM musicals, Some Kind of Wonderful, plus enjoy watching romantic comedies and action/adventure films. Basically, I like a little of everything.

Favorite books are too numerous to list. I read constantly and usually have three going at one time laying around the house. Now that I'm traveling, I have to resort to reading them electronically although I prefer holding one in my hand.

I love learning new languages and try to learn a little from each place I visit. I find it is better to try to speak the local language (even if it is pronounced badly) than to not try at all. I can share what I know about photography and my crazy travel stories. It almost never fails that I get lost at one point on my travels, but that is when I find the most amazing places and meet some really genuine people.
