I have lived in Oregon since 1993, when I moved here for the clinical psychology program. I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, swimming, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, and picking fruit (which is abundant this time of year, heading into fall!). I have a dog (pit bull type) who is sweet but protective. I love to read and listen to podcasts. I have two kids, 21 and 13.

I'm planning to go to southern France (explore the French Riviera and Provence) in late March with my 13-year-old daughter. She's interested in studying abroad in France in high school and/or college, and I'd like to travel with her while I can! She's never been out of the U.S. It would be fun to stay with locals to learn more about the area and culture. I traveled in France when I was a teenager and stayed in Provence for a week with my friend and her pen pal's family. I used to be able to speak French enough to get by there and while traveling, but it's been a long while, so I'm brushing up as much as possible before this trip : )
