I live in Michigan and work in research, but travel for many reasons including scuba, surf, NASA socials, snowboarding, marathons, and archaeology. I like hot food challenges. I won one in Ann Arbor, MI at a Jamaican restaurant. I like adventure and I like making things with my hands.

I currently live in a housing cooperative so I can't take anyone in unless my house votes on it. If you want to know about what it is like living in a co-op, I'm happy to share. It is definitely something everyone should do once in their life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet new people and experience a minute in their world while also sharing a little of mine. I don't mind hanging out while I visit or sharing the event I came to the city for. Sometimes things are private events, but if they are open and don't require a reservation made far in advance, then I don't mind joiners.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I trained with my dog to run a marathon with a woman I met over twitter who also trained with her dog to run the same marathon.
