About Me

I recently graduated from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan with a Master's Degree in Biology. I moved to the Green Bay area to my boyfriend's family farm to help start-up in sustainable farming and teach biology part-time at a tech college in Green Bay. I am a friendly person who is on the quiet side. I love hearing about other people and their experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My sister has been couchsurfing across the country for two summers, and this last summer across Europe. She loves couchsurfing, all the cool people she gets to meet and enriched experiences in the places she visits because of it. I have hosted many couchsurfers when living in a housing cooperative in Marquette, Michigan. I think it is a great network that makes perfect sense for all the people who are open to it. I haven't had the need until now to build my own profile, but I will be traveling for a conference and would like to find someone to stay with on this trip, and others into the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have recently become a big Star Trek fan after watching the Next Generation and I am excited about the new Discovery series. I tend to like a lot of Sci-Fi movies and books. I love lots of different music but have recently been listening to a lot of podcasts. A couple of my favorites are Radiolab and Invisibilia.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the amazing opportunity to go to Mongolia for 6 weeks two years ago. I was camping across the majority of the country with a group of field scientists and got to experience the culture of the people of rural Mongolia (which is the large majority of it).
