About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live.

ABOUT ME

Newly moved to Germany, and looking to make friends, get coffee, beers, and learn about my new city. Just spent 2+ years living in Prague, so can give advice and tips to anyone looking to go there.
I love getting out in the city and seeing what is going on, and also exploring surrounding areas/cities whenever possible.

PHILOSOPHY

Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair. (From a song by Mumford and Sons. They're better writers than I am.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Forthcoming...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't surfed yet, but it might be a possibility in the future. Have definitely hosted an assortment of people though, as our Prague apartment used to be a revolving door hostel.

Interests

Travel, photography, books, hiking, history, bad television, animals and naps.
My new goal is to go to the highest point possible in every country I visit; so far I've hit the Zugspitze (Germany), and the Aguille du Midi (France). So I've got a long way to go, but I love being in the mountains.

Music, Movies, and Books

Pretty much any movies but am not crazy about horror. (Unless it's ironically bad horror, i.e. Troll 2, Brain Dead, etc) Usually watch comedies, historical, action, etc. Listen to a wide variety of stuff and love going to concerts. I'll read pretty much anything you put in front of me but have a soft spot for historical fiction and the occasional bad Chick-Lit book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved to Europe by myself two years ago. Amazing and worth every crazy minute.

In 2010 I was in Ireland for St. Patrick's Day, and in Munich for Oktoberfest. In 2011, I spent a week at Oktoberfest. Amazingly, I'm still alive. My friends might be trying to kill me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach English, so happy to help with that. But if we can limit the number of grammar questions while I'm vacation, I'd appreciate it!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
