CURRENT MISSION

Newly graduated, occupying my time until adulthood hits!

ABOUT ME

I just graduated from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, and I'm spending a year or so to get myself together in this strange "inbetween" time.

For the moment I decided to move to Florida. My goal is to find some temporary employment for a year in Florida, then reapply for Florida State's masters program in Russian and Eastern European Studies once I am a little more personally financially stable.

I'd like to think of myself as more-or-less easy going---I describe myself as an "ex-hippie" type: while I no longer appear as much the type (now that I cut my dreads, updated my woredrobe, etc) I'm still the optomistic nature girl at heart.

I've been frequently complemented on my positive attitude toward life and struggle; I try to not let the small things get in the way of life.

I like to consider the next year or so of my life as the trial run of adulthood.... just until I go back to school for my masters!

PHILOSOPHY

I always try to find a balance in my life. I love to go out and party, but I also love the feelings of accomplishment of studying and working hard. It's all about moderation, but in a carefree way!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sadly, I don't have a home or couch to call my own at the moment to lend out. I do intend to use CS to find somewhere to stay as I scout out places to live!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I heard about couch surfing last year--in Ukraine hanging out with some Peace Corps Volunteers. Some girl came through and stayed with one of the volunteers on her journey through East Europe. I am excited to finally have the time to use the network!

Interests

I love to cook, and to read. I like going out and enjoy live music more than going to the movies.

I am forever improving my Russian skills, in whatever free time I can find.

Though I studied politics in college I'm not big on discussing the issues--I like individuals to decide for themselves.

I have an elementary knowledge of Russian I am always looking to improve and practice, or share to others.

As far as music is concerned, I always love to hear new groups, or share tallents (played the drums some a few years ago, and have been forever trying to learn the guitar!)

Always seeking a good yoga partner, I've never found enough time to get good at it, but would love to find someone for advice.

I love to cook and hear good reviews about what I serve!
