ABOUT ME

My name is Heather and I am originally from New Hampshire where brilliant red, orange, and yellow foliage peaks during autumn and iridescent snowflakes collide into four foot drifts in the winter. I relocated to Asheville in 2011, which I have found to be an amazing eclectic haven of inspiration and healing.

I consider myself laid back, creative, open-minded and always up for new adventures. I have the curiosity of a little kid and a lot of patience.

Friends and family are extremely important to me and I will do anything and everything to help them.

It's extremely difficult to describe oneself; however, if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

PHILOSOPHY

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As a CouchSurfer I plan to connect with others and exchange knowledge and great experiences. There is nothing better than taking the time to share with people - whether that be your time, stories, music or whatever you can contribute.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am very excited to have been introduced to such a wonderful non-profit organization that brings great people together. Most of my CS experience has been in New Zealand.

I especially love exploring the outdoors, coastlines, lighthouses, and surfing.

I love experiencing the various night life that different cities have to offer; however, sometimes I am perfectly content enjoying good company at home over some great music.

I love festivals, open mics, poetry, bonfires, and immersing myself in different cultures and scenes.

I have really enjoyed WWOOFing (Willing Workers On Organic Farms) and volunteering in various countries.

I love working with kids and families. I appreciate non-profit organizations and have enjoyed working for them.

My interests are many and I know I will be gaining more as I travel.

Bungee jumping in Costa Rica was quite the thrill and a crazy roadtrip to Guatemala entails many stories.

I can teach you how to make a mean green smoothie. I want to learn about others' travels, cultures, and CS experiences. I tend to have very few items on my back, but I can certainly share my water bottle, pictures and postcards from home, New England lingo, and a beer or glass of wine.
