I'm currently traveling in Asia--particularly Japan, so I am currently unable to host. Message me if you're there too and want to meet up.
I grew up in the Midwest (Iowa, Minnesota and Kansas, specificly) and have lived in California for the last 12 years. I LOVE where I live. I'm 25 miles from the ocean and in the heart of wine country. There are more than 300 wineries within 30 miles.
I love art, reading, poetry, talking about religion, politics and parenting. All the things that are taboo!
I recently became a certified scuba diving and I'm currently working on my advanced certification. I became certified in Japan and want to go scuba diving or snorkeling wherever I go and can.
My friends would describe me as a nice person. I'm always smiling and the kind of person that will be there for you--and the one you want to go wine tasting or beer drinking with.
I freelance fulltime for various publications. I love to write and take photos. I've done both since I was 15 years old.
I am learning French, Spanish and Japanese and am planning a six-month trip to Japan at the end of 2015

I believe in treating others as I'd want them to treat me. There's no good reason to a jerk or be untrustworthy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've surfed several times-- in Kansas, England and Belgium. It's been good. I look forward to meeting more people through CS.

I LOVE rock/alternative rock. I also like country, bluegrass, folk, blues, jazz, classical.
