About Me
ABOUT ME
I've spent the duration of my life moving from town to town and therefore feel the constant need to travel and immerse myself in other cultures in order to feel I'm living at all.
PHILOSOPHY
balance balance balance. I try to live a balanced life, balancing simple pleasures with my human need for a sense of worthwhile purpose
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, I'm new to this whole thing so at the moment I contribute very little but soon I will be moving into a larger apartment which will hopefully provide me with an extra room for my fellow travelers :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hoping to fill this in within the next few weeks. Take a chance on me!
Interests
I want to understand what motivates human behavior so my interest lie in philosophy, religion, sociology, and psychology. One might say I'm often lost in thought...
Nature fascinates me with it's effortless synchronizing of vastly different life. I believe this stems from another interest I have: balance. I am quite amazed by the way nature always seems to correct its imbalances while humans struggle to do the same.
I spend a great deal of time pondering morality.
I'm a huge fan of animals and am vegetarian.
Art, particularly photography but especially music, can touch me in a way that nothing else can. It puts me in a transcendental state

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: there are far too many to mention but I prefer something delightfully unexpected, straddling the line of absolute realism and ludicrous fantasy...whatever that may be.
Music: Beirut, Sigur Ros, Mew, Animal Collective and the Spinto Band still reign supreme
Books: 1984, anything by Oscar Wilde, animal ethics essays by peter singer, Siddhartha, The Hero Within, various theories of personality found in my psychology textbook, Myths to Live By, Candide
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm not so sure if this is as amazing as it was stupid but it's at least the most daring thing I've ever done..
I flew to england with under 300 pounds to live with a former love for 6 weeks.
Teach, Learn, Share
Never follow the exact instructions on a box of macaroni and cheese. Be nice to animals and remember to breathe.
