ABOUT ME

I only work for 6 months of the year, so have lots of time off and always get itchy feet when I get home from rig. So, I travel a lot, at home in Scotland and worldwide but have to juggle time a bit as need to spend time with family and friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I often travel alone but have always hosteled up until now but I thought couch surfing would be ideal, where I live in Peterhead is not a very exciting place to visit but it is near Aberdeen which has lot to do and see, so I could show anyone around the Granite City.

Travel (obviously), to anywhere and everywhere, spending time with family and friends, skiing, walking, eating and drinking, live music (any kind), meeting like minded folks, cinema, books, photography, wildlife watching.

Movies - Shawshank Redemption is my fav
Music - only thing I don't like is Hip Hop and I love anything live
Books - Autobiographys and travel journals, real life i so much better than fiction

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Difficult this one, the thing I'm most proud of was doing my offshore survival training the first time (I was terrified)
Seen, skiing in the alps on a sunny day, you feel on top of the world. Sunset over Medina in Marrakech. The Peak in Hong Kong amazing views.

Skiing, I might manage to give a few tips.
Wildlife, I love watching and learning about Scottish beasties.
Travel, I have been to many, many places, so could advise a bit and learn from others.
