Where to begin? What thrills me the most is encounters with nature: coming upon an erupting nest of leatherback turtles on a remote Caribbean beach, missing an encounter with a jaguar on a jungle trail in Panama by 1 hour, being investigated by swarming honey bees on a cool spring morning, finding a foot-long walking stick insect in Costa Rica, shadowing a galumphing rhinosaurus beetle along a cerrado stream in Brasil.
