ABOUT ME

Former Diplobrat who refuses to recover from the travel bug acquired in childhood - If I was not born a nomad I was certainly bred to be one after being brought up between 3 countries ! Am a Jane of all trades (well all trades with the word writer affixed or pertaining to it in someway or any way) just moved to Stockholm to write for the Washington Post and somehow magically transition into full time screenwriting (ha!) I am what Hanif Kureishi calls "A crushed velvet idealist" (interpret that as you will) and am always on the look out for Kindred spirits interested in long conversations about anything and everything , adventures and above all laughs and kicks !

PHILOSOPHY

As the immortal Holly Golightly once said "It may be normal darling but I'd much rather be natural "

I also very much like what Rimbaud once wrote 'Once, if my memory serves me well, my life was a banquet where every heart revealed itself, where every wine flowed.'

Music: Even trickier in a way! I love Opera , classical music , Indie , Rock, Jazz but staple listening includes Serge Gainsbourg, Leonard Cohen , The Dresden dolls , Kate Bush , Jacques Brel , David Bowie , Tori Amos ,The Velvet Underground, Fairuz and a lot of Arab Underground bands like Mashrou3 Leila , Zeid and the wings , Masar Egbari , Alaa Wardi, Lemonada ,Soapkills etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a year writing a commissioned TV series , it never got made let alone aired but it was the best year of my life thus far , Also pretty amazing was watching and taking part in the revolution (though the end was rather grim)
