Overview
About Me
Hi,
I am Hector from Paris neighbourhood, currently working a public administration in Compiègne.
I would describe myself as friendly and open minded.
For me people are fundamentally good but there fears and ignorance can hide this beauty.
My goal in life is to learn and to experience the most things as possible. Meeting, hosting and traveling are the best way to achieve it.
Even if I had a pretty science sided education I am interested in all kind art and self expression (mostly gastronomy 😋 and theatre 🎭).
If I am not available for hosting, please send a message to Samuel from me ;)

He's a great host and friendly person 😁
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My previous room-mate made me discover couchsurfing through hosting people in our flat in 2019.
I loved the idea instantaneously, the couchsurfers were always good people to meet.
During a trip in some European cities with two friends in summer 2020, we had a lot of fun with our hosts.
Now I always try to meet people of the platform when traveling. Visiting a city without meeting people living in it feels wrong now 😁.
Interests
- guitar
- hiking
- theatre
- craft beer
- improvisational theater
Music, Movies, and Books
The bands I like are Les Cowboy Fringants, George Brassens, Aretha Franklin, The Blues Brothers, Ray Charles, The Beach Boys, Black Sabbath, Dire Straits, Avenged Sevenfolds, Compay Segundo, Buena Vista Social Club ... (too long listing them all)
But overall I enjoyed all kind of music in concert. From metal, hip hop, electro to classical.
Same thing for the movies. Sometimes I feel like I want to watch one that will make me think about it for a week. Sometimes I just want to laugh with friends.
I am not a huge reader, but I always try to bring a book or two when traveling.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Go swimming in Munich canals during a storm. Next enjoying Munich beers, going to a jam session and having an amazing night. All of this happened thanks to a host we just meet.
Shaking hands with my president while having a conversation with Bono from U2.
