About Me

I think that the best way to discover the world is by knowing it first-hand.
Is there any better opportunity of doing so than with locals?
I am a primary school teacher, willing to discover the world step by step (as it occurs in education). My way of thinking is that if you don't know something first-hand, you cannot transmit that enthiusiasm to others. That's why I try to live the maximum.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Wherever I have been, and whenever my trip is planned (or not), I usually feel the necessity of feeling comfortable among people. Knowing that you are going to be safe, and that there will be someone helping you near where you are.

Apart from this, there is the unique experience of knowing a place with someone that do not show you the most touristic places, but the hidden spaces, those where you find magic inside.

Interests

I am a swimmer, so I have travelled to swimm in national competitions (for the moment), and wherever I go, if there is a bit of water (no matter if it's a lake, a river or even a puddle), I take a bath.
I cannot imagine my life without the mountains by my side. I have grown up in the mountains and surrounded by them, so, whenever I stay more than a week without going there, I start thinking about my next trip.
What to say about travel, but what is already said in my description, "if you don't know something first-hand, you cannot transmit that enthiusiasm to others". (I hate travelling with a suitcace, the're really uncomfortable!)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading history, science fiction and fantasy books; they have the power of transporting you to pther worlds that would only exist in your imagination.
I like pop, jazz, swing & electroswing, singer-songwritters, acapella... but I never say no to any live concert ticket, no matter what it is. I you feel it, you got it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bathing and swimming in the frozen lakes and rivers of the beautiful Finland, after a boiling sauna session (or not). Actually, my Erasmus there in Finland is one of the best decision I've ever made.
I travelled to London city to find a job for the summer. Not so weird or amazing for me, but it looked so to other people who thought I was crazy for going there without a house, a job, and even a mobile phone number!

Teach, Learn, Share

Those words define my career.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would like to think that my perspective of the world is wide, but I must admit that it will never be wide enough.
So that's what I want and I can offer, an oppen-minded teacher trying to change the world step by step and sharing with others experiences that make us all grow.
