live life and save some money, then go sailing around the world. Serioiusly.. I already have the boat.

ABOUT ME

I am a really nice person and have a hard time even telling "no thanks" to people who come to my door to sell stuff.

I love the ocean and sailing thus I am a sailor. I race sailboats, hold a captain's license with the US Coast Guard and certifications for teaching sailing which I do on the side and then I can do any kind of boat repair and maintenance from rigging and fiberglass work to plumbing, electrical and engine repair.

This translates well into being able to fix and modify most gadgets and such so if you have a broken clock or leaky faucet I'd be happy to lend a hand.

PHILOSOPHY

Be respectful, kind and thoughtful and the rest will follow. Oh, and pick up trash even if it isn't yours and recycle I mean really it isn't that much work and you owe it to the planet you live on not to make so much of a mess.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to host now and then when conditions permit, and sometimes when traveling hope to find a place to stay.

However hosing in Santa Barbara is tough... please read my other part.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed in Zurich Switzerland with a friend who is a big time Couch surfing admin. Had dinner and gone sailing the length of San Francisco bay with a member from Canada and more.

In truth I am easy to please, I find most any topic interesting.

Oh yea, as I stated in the about me section as well... I am something of a jack of many trades, so I am always eager to help in basic auto repair, electrical, plumbing, anything related to boats as well.
