My husband and I are teachers currently living in Amman, Jordan. We live to travel! There's nothing better than getting to know a new place by exploring all the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes that it has to offer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting other people who love to explore the world is one of the best things about traveling! I haven't tried CS yet, but I'm looking forward to doing so on my next big adventure. I think the best way to get to know a place is by meeting the locals. My husband and I have met such interesting people throughout the years from staying in hostels, and some fellow Oregonians we recently met in Zanzibar told us about CS. It sounds like great fun!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most kinds of music and I don't think I could limit myself to one or two bands or artists. I'm a sucker for the epic fantasies like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. Since I'm a teacher, I'm always reading young adult books, so I've been really enjoying the John Green books and of course, I love the Harry Potter series. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm... Hiking "Mount Doom" (Tongariro Crossing in real life) in New Zealand in snow with crampons and then free-style sledding back down the mountain was pretty amazing.

I can teach you some Spanish and I've lived in and traveled to some very interesting places I can tell you about. My husband is also an awesome storyteller.
