ABOUT ME

I grew up in restaurants and cooking. Worked as a cook in high school and as a chef thru college. So food and drink have a special place in my heart. In fact, one of my main goals when traveling is to enjoy new tastes and ideas in food.

Other than that, I enjoy martial arts, bourbon, jazz, spending time with my family and the occasional cigar.

We don’t host anymore because we have a young kid and a foster teen. We’re open to meeting up for a picnic or a drink!

I hate meeting new people and getting involved in engaging conversations. Despise good food and wine. Living abroad sucked, and I don't miss it. Abhor well-written and enlightening literature. Love all forms of fundamentalists and their irrational faith. Hate the beach, fires in the fire pit, and autumn colors/smells/weather. Being surrounded by people I love really pisses me off. Motorcycles - you know, that whole freedom and wind thing... yeah, an odious experience. Animals are for kicking, not petting. And anything intellectually enrapting is for idiots. Cemeteries are ugly, and so are forests, rivers, deserts, canyons, seas, and sunsets. Sex is terrible, and cuddling is for pussies. Comfort is far and away better than truth. Beauty makes me nauseous. And sarcasm, sarcasm is stupid. As is alliteration. (On a side note, sarcasm aside: if you're dumb, don't message me. Really. I'll just make fun of you.)

Sometimes, the simplest things are the most amazing. Dancing with my kid. Flying a kite on a windy day. The first gulp of a cold beer on a hot day. The sunset. Watching someone do something they excel at.

I am a decent conversationalist. I can cook a great meal with little ingredients and whatever is left in the fridge. I also clean up well after myself.
