Music, Movies, and Books
I have been playing the violin for 10 years and am a great lover of classical music. I also enjoy many other kinds of music, such as jazz, and particularly like discovering new forms of music I haven't heard before. Living in Armenia has given me a growing interest in folk music and modern interpretations on it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In May 2017, together with some friends at UWC Dilijan, I organised a creative arts camp as part of a project called CaucasusConnect, which aims to foster links between the youth of the Caucasus. Meeting so many diverse young people and coming together to create a multimedia, multicultural performance in only four days was an incredible experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
To me, the world is still an enormous place and I cannot comprehend how much there is left for me to learn. As such, I am open to learning about everything and anything.
In return, I am happy to share stories and histories of both my South African background and my experiences of living and travelling in different cultures around the world.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can say a wicked tongue-twister in isiXhosa.
