Hi! I am a 48 yr old mother of 4 boys. Two sets actually. The first set are 24 & 25 and the second set are 9 & 10. In 2009 I formed my own Company and work from home. I did this so I could be available for my children but also with the added importance of maintaining adult contact, and of course making a bit of money. I absolutely love my occupation and enjoy the relationships I build with my clients. I come from a large close knit family and am the eldest of 4 girls.

I Fell in love with Santorini in 1984/5 when the movie "Sommer lovers" was released. I immediately wrote to the International Penpal Association to get a penpal in Greece. They matched me with Nikos and there begins our adventure. We first met when he wrote to say he was going into the navy and I must come now or we may never meet! I travelled to Crete on the 14th September 1987, I recently turned 20 when we met and I stayed with him and his parents.. Anyway, I can fill you in with the rest if you are interested 😀. Travel since then has opened my world to many a magical and rather adventurous experience seeing wonderful places and meeting amazing people. My last trip to Greece was 2014 and this August 2016 I will be going to Greece yet again. It was to be with my older boys but the reason I am not now is under the heading of "why I'm couch surfing" lol 😀

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is on my bucket list to take my older boys to my place of which I am in love, Crete and Santorini, Greece. They were up for the challenge BUT then decided they wanted to wait a little longer to save more money so they can have a really awesome time and afford to do the things they wanted. I, in the meantime brought my ticket which is non refundable & non transferable so I have to go. I was in Crete and Santorini in 2014 and said I would never travel on my own again but in this case I have too. What better way to experience culture than to be embraced by locals 😀 I would love to establish friendships and reciprocate should your travels ever include New Zealand 😀

Interests

I love everything. Travelling, walking, reading, gardening, visiting museums, archeological sites (when in a place that has such sites). beaches, food (love Mediterranean food) love love love cooking. I haven't bought pasta in a year as I make my own, It is the best! and wine tasting, drinking wine in great company and relaxing. (Can ya tell I'm 48) lol

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movie of all time is Summer Lovers which was filmed in Santorini. I saw this movie when I was 14 and fell in love. My first trip was in 1987 to visit my pen pal in Crete. I later again visited him in 2014 as well as travelled to France and Italy. Favourite author is Bryce Courtney and my tastes in music are varied from easy listening to some rock, classical (especially Greek, Latin and the like)

Having my 4 boys. Did you know the pain a woman experiences in labour is equivalent to breaking 22 bones at once? Thought you might like to know haha. Not funny at the time but worth the feeling 😀
