PHILOSOPHY

I am learning to be a compassionate person, not only for others but also for myself. I believe in treating others as I would like to be treated: with love and acceptance. I am learning trust and faith.

I entertain the residents of our local complex care facility; sing in the United Church Choir;

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None, with the exception of staying in bed and breakfasts and youth hostels.

I watch the Met Live in HD, attend Salt Spring Chamber Choir and Orchestra performances,among others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Companioning my last two husbands through lengthy illness to blissful, loving, peaceful passing.

Walking straight to ancestor's tombstones in previously unknown graveyards and finding them immediately.

Singing in my United Church of Canada choir

Teach, Learn, Share

For many years, I have been a caregiver and companion to two husbands who though once vibrant and active, but who each became ill (one a massive stroke and the second dementia) and died. I can share my knowledge and wisdom on this level. I am also a trained genealogist and family historian. I am also a budding memoirist and poet. I would love to learn more. I know a bit about organic gardening and would love to learn more.
