About Me
Hi! I'm currently living in the Netherlands with my husband and our younger daughter, under temporary protection due to the war in Ukraine.
I'm a photographer and a volunteer — I truly believe that the ocean is made of drops, and every small act of kindness matters.
I'm an open-hearted and sincere person. I value honesty, trust, and real connection. Life is the most precious thing we have, and in relationships — trust is everything.
I love meeting people, sharing stories, exploring cultures and learning. Traveling, photography, deep conversations and cooking — that’s what brings me joy.
I don’t smoke or drink — I just don’t need that to relax or feel good. A peaceful walk, a shared meal, or laughter with someone kind is more than enough.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Right now I can’t host — my home is temporary, and we’ve gone through a lot because of the war.
But one day, when peace returns and I’m back in Ukraine, I dream of opening my home to travelers. I’d love to share our culture, traditions, and cook you a real homemade Ukrainian meal.
Until then, I’m here to connect, to meet people, to exchange stories and kindness.
Treat others the way you want to be treated — that’s what I live by.
Interests
I’m inspired by simple, real things:
sunlight on old buildings, the smell of fresh bread, children’s laughter, unexpected kindness from strangers.
Photography is my way of seeing the world — I love catching small moments, stories written in faces, the poetry of ordinary life.
Traveling helps me breathe deeper. I enjoy wandering through quiet streets, discovering local markets, and feeling the heartbeat of new cities.
I love cooking, especially traditional Ukrainian food. There’s something magical in sharing a homemade meal — it's a way of showing care, love, and connection.
I’m curious about psychology, emotional healing, and the journey of self-discovery. I believe we all carry a child inside us who just wants to be seen and loved.
I enjoy meaningful conversations — about life, dreams, fears, or funny little things that happen on an ordinary Tuesday.
And most of all — I love people. Honest, warm, kind people. They make the world better.
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to music that touches the soul — sometimes it’s classical, sometimes indie or Ukrainian folk songs. I love melodies that carry emotion, that speak without words.
My favorite movies are those that stay with you long after the credits roll. Films with meaning, depth, and humanity. I enjoy heartfelt dramas, gentle comedies, and stories where people grow, fall, get up again.
Books are my safe place. I’m drawn to stories about real emotions, inner journeys, and healing. I love reading about psychology, relationships, and the invisible world inside us.
Some of my all-time favorites:
Music: Ludovico Einaudi, DakhaBrakha, Ólafur Arnalds
Movies: "Amélie", "Notebook"
Book: "The Little Prince"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
packed my whole life into a suitcase, took my daughters’ hands, and left everything familiar behind — not because I was ready, but because I had to protect them.
Moving to a new country, keep learning a new language, staying kind and open in a time of loss — I think that’s the bravest thing I’ve ever done.
It wasn’t just one moment.
It’s an ongoing journey — and I keep walking it with faith in life, people, and light.
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe in the power of sharing and learning. Every person has something valuable to offer, and I’m always open to exchanging knowledge — whether it’s about photography, cooking, or simply life experiences. We all have stories that can enrich each other’s lives.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m always happy to share stories, laughter, and Ukrainian traditions. Most importantly, I offer kindness and a heart open to new connections.
