A bit of a thinker and wine-drinker. Can't sing but keen on writing. A little moody before my first cup of coffee in the morning. Opinionated but trying real hard to listen. Contradictory. Hope to one day become a photographer or perhaps an architect, at least do something creative, or why not be a teacher, but stuck in politics because there is so much to do and so little time. Think I need to try roller derby one day soon. Love to enjoy the smallest things in life, aim not to take it too seriously but still challenge myself and others to question everything we take for granted. Film and theatre are sources of inspiration, food and drink should be shared and valued, friends and family should not be taken for granted. Restless but trying to stay put at times. Adore board games and charades. Don't ever want to give up my wishful and utterly naive belief in revolution and a better world. Needless to say, I'm a notorious traveller.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books by Haruki Murakami or Paul Auster never disappoint. Not much for daytime TV, but I'm obsessed with watching entire seasons in one go of for instance The Wire, Six Feet Under or Breaking Bad. I could easily watch a few films a day if that would pay the bills. Either I listen to sad songs by Antony and the Johnsons or Ani DiFranco, Bright Eyes, PJ Harvey, Mumford and Sons and Marit Bergman to mention a few, and then all of a sudden I put on Dead Prez or Nas, followed by a jazz compilation. It makes no sense at all.
