One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While traveling through the backcountry of the Yukon Territory our group camped in an area surrounded by mountain peaks, which reached 1,000 ft above us. The geography created an immense wind tunnel-effect and our tent flapped violently all night. No one slept! The sky was vivid with deep reds and oranges. We were so far north the sunrise and sunset ran into one another and in leu of nightfall the sun sunk slightly below the horizon for one hour. It was a surreal 48 hours.
