About Me

I like nature, birds, travelling, friends, music, beer, latin dances, all the usual stuff really.

Your freedom stops where other people's freedom begins. So if you want to be respected, be respectful of others as well.

Important note about accepting guests: most of us are here to meet people and/or learn more about a country when we travel, which is a great way of enjoying life and broadening our horizons. But I have received many strange requests in the past. For example, I had a family of 3 asking me if they could stay for one month in my living room (!) and some psychotic teenager asking me to stay for a couple of weeks when I had explicitly stated I only accept guests for a few days and insisting that I was rude for telling her off (!). So, I will probably be ok with most kind and polite people (if I am available), but if you come to me with abusive requests or a diva attitude or you don't bother to read my profile before you contact me, either I will ignore you or will tell you off and you will not like it! So don't say I didn't warn you :P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've stayed with couchsurfers through a friend in Estonia - it was amazing! I have had some guests since I came to Norwich, and it's usually interesting and good fun :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: most types except horror movies and really lame romantic comedies! No extremes. But I love comedy TV shows.
Music: a bit of everything, really, maybe mostly rock and some kinds of folk.
Book: I read all kinds of books but lately I've been into real life stories. Usually I tend to pick crazy ones... for example I've read the autobiographical book by Icerberg Slim, a 30s gangster and pimp from the US, and I've read a book written by 3 UN volunteers talking about their experiences in war zones across the world during the 90s.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are a couple of things that felt pretty amazing when I was younger... for example the night we saved a sea turtle from being killed in the beach of Sal, Cape Verde! Or when we walked over a frozen lake in the most absolute silence, in the middle of the night in Latvia. But you know, I am a bit older now... nothing seems "amazing" anymore except the price reductions at the end of the day at Tesco hahaha!
