I like to be outdoors and travel (preferably by bicycle, canoe or just hiking), but mostly I am busy at work or at home computer. But when I have time, I like to travel, usually somewhere near where I don't need help of cars and airplanes.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I like to travel and meet new people during that, which is quite easy as long as you are camping, but something quite different when visiting cities, so I think this site is a great idea.
I am not much into seeing all the well known landmarks I know from photos, I usually find normal streets and other places where people actually live more interesting, so I'm happy to get tips for places like "such a park where we sometimes just sit down and maybe feed ducks".
