ABOUT ME

Hi, My name is Helena.
I'm 100% dutch by blood, i was born in Curaçao (Dutch Antilles) and I grew up in Belgium with my dutch parents. Being raised in a multi-cultural backgrond made me very openminded to experience other cultures. I studied History at the Catholic university of Leuven and i'm currently completing an extra master in Conservation of Monuments and sites. cultures are even more an interest to me! I have a special interest in build and vernacular Heritage.

I 'd like to meet people from everywhere in the world and show others where I live and some Belgian-culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a wonderful first CS experience in Bologna with Riccardo in. 2011. He's camera to belgium afterwards too. In 2010 I went backpacking in Ireland and I participated a hitchhikers-competition (Route du Soleil)where I and my teammate Bieke finished 6th of nearly 500 teams.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There's still so much to discover for me
but I love the fact that I was born on the other side of the world, far away from far too busy Europe. In a little paradise called Curaçao.
I hope that one day, when i'm old and grey, i can host you overthere!
