My name is Mariam Mkwizu
I am Maasai by tribe resident in Arusha, Tanzania
I am a teacher and a founder of Golden star day care.
Golden star daycare and nursery was established in 13th September 2012 for the purpose of supporting Tanzania’s children who struggle in malnutrition and poverty. Golden star daycare and nursery works for poor families through support and assists all children to get good foundation of education and helping children to grow up with normal health.

I have succeeded to enroll and educate 900 children since commencement of Golden star daycare and nursery in 2012 until 2024. Currently we have 60 children and 4 staffs. I have succeeded in developing children academically through sponsorship in english medium schools for at least 20 children’s both boys and girls.
I have also succeeded in starting a chicken project so that children can get fresh meat and eggs. we have a chicken coop that can accommodate 400 chicks through the contribution of different people .
