ABOUT ME

Once again tired of the rat race, I've taken leave to travel and see some more of the world. This time North America.
I'm an easy going person and get a real buzz from experiencing new things and meeting new people. I love being outdoors which can either be in the form of a hike or sitting on a nice patio sharing a drink with friends.
It doesn't take long to get to know my sillier side as well- I love a good laugh!

PHILOSOPHY

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave
with the intention of arriving safely
in an attractive and well preserved body,
But rather to skid in sideways,
chocolate in one hand,
wine in the other,
body thoroughly used up,
totally worn out and screaming
"WOO HOO what a ride!"

I have only surfed once and am still traveling but I'm certainly looking forward to hosting people when I get home and being able to show them around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am very new to this so have had one couch surfing experience which was fantastic. I also joined a CS meeting which was great for meeting people from all over.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I'll admit, I do enjoy a good RomCom but who doesn't oh and generally anything Matt Damon is in. What? He's played some good roles!
Music: Very mixed taste. A few favourites- The Cat Empire, Powderfinger, Coldplay. Love drums!
Books : Anything that can get my attention in the first couple of pages.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Getting to a part of a child developing language and confidence-will always give me goosebumps to see what they have achieved.
So many amazing things around the world- I felt particularly in awe in Milford Sound, NZ and the Canadian Rockies. Such beauty!
