One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking up to a lake in the Swiss Alps with 2 British guys I just met in a hostel in Munich. A man that had given them a ride drew a map to his grandma's house on a cocktail napkin and said they were welcome to camp there if they could find it. We were all unsure about it, but after sneaking rides on a bus and a train, and hitching a ride we came to a huge mansion on a crystal clear lake in the alps. Cooking dinner and drinking schnapps while watching the sun set over the lake was unforgettable.

Taking a 15 hour slowboat down the Irrawaddy River in Burma. We boarded at 5 AM, but got to see the sun rise and set over the river, eat all of our meals with local villagers, and just relax and adjust to the slow paced river lifestyle.
