ABOUT ME

I grew up an only child.

And then my younger brother showed up.

Life has been about figuring out how to be a loner, whilst acknowledging that I am connected to someone else.

This has been my core learning my entire life. That we are alone and yet we are always only separated by a thin thin line from someone else at any given time in our existence.

And the only thing that keeps us connected, or alive... is... in one way or another... love.

PHILOSOPHY

Without love in our lives, everything loses it's beauty and meaning.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I can't say I've participated much in Couch Surfing.

The closest would be my wife and I hosting travelers in our apartment when we've been able to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The couch surfing experience began when I was headed to Melbourne for a 2 week trip.

At the last minute I discovered that I had no place to stay, and so I turned to a service called Global Freeloaders and found nice people willing to put me up for some time.

I found myself making new acquaintances who were friendly and helpful to me... and as a result I had a good time despite feeling a bit lost at first.

Since then, my wife and I have hosted travelers in our guest bed room and took them around town to where we eat, sharing of our thoughts, ideas and creative explorations. This site is new to me but the experience of sharing of our humanity to others has been part of my life's work.

Interests

Cooking great food and sharing it with people who appreciate sitting down and savouring the moment with others. Being understanding and open enough to speak our minds together without the need for consensus. Creative thoughts and ideas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've gone to the ends of the earth for love. I cannot believe I did it. But I did this in order to find my heart's true fire.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach anyone how to juggle 3 objects. I'd like to learn how to start a food business. And I can share my home cooked food with anyone with the love to truly eat.
