Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a couchsurfing newbie. I have travelled and lived abroad in Europe, Asia, and North America some, sometimes staying with family and friends along the way.

In 2009 I stayed with a kind, wise, hilarious 65-year-old mechanical engineer in the German countryside for two months while I sang with a touring opera company. He's an inspiring man, and someday I would love to pass his gift of hospitality on to another traveller – as soon as I have a spare couch!
