ABOUT ME

Hello! I am Helena and I live in England, so far in a combination of Kent, Oxford and London.

I'm a travel enthusiast. I recently spent a year travelling around Asia and had the most amazing time living in an Indian village for three months and visiting gems like Myanmar and Nepal.

Since I returned I have been working for a charity which supports social enterprises in the UK. It's a great job where I get to meet lots of interesting people and be inspired by people setting up social businesses across the country.

Outside of the 9-5 you'll usually find me with friends, down the pub, in the park or out for dinner. I love spending an evening mixing good conversation with good food and great beer.

So far I've been travelling through Asia. My absolute favourite country has been India, where I spent 10 weeks doing a government project and then later 2 months travelling around!

I like to think I'm pretty open minded, to both new things and different people! I love experiencing new things, and being put outside of the ordinary!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a couple of people and really enjoyed showing them round my hometown of London! Last year I couchsurfed in Thailand and had the most amazing experience. Now I'm coming to China I would love to spend some time away from the hostels and get the opportunity to meet people who can really tell me what's what in China.

Intereses

Trying out new things.

At home I do all sorts, going to plays, music gigs, open-air cinema, drinking bingo. Abroad I've tried to step outside of my comfort zone: scuba diving, motorcycling, trekking, meditating.
