I mostly travel privately, with my wife, friends or for work. I would love to meet new travelers and learn about their experiences. I also like taking photos (even if I don‘t get to upload them), doing something active or just having a good coffee.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am interested in meeting new people around the world and getting in contact with locals where ever I am.
I like to show other travelers the interesting sides of Cologne and cordially invite you to a kölsch :-)

I've read a few books, but haven't finished them yet. Much more I read articles on all sorts of topics or Wikipedia contributions haha!

My taste in music is very diverse and goes from rock / pop to hip hop to metal and techno. It always depends on the mood and situation :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- 500km bike ride to the North Sea with my neighbor (then good friend)

- Ran a full marathon (yep, 42.195km where you have to drink a red wine shot every 1.5km) with friends I met through couchsurfing

I can share all my knowledge about Cologne, the surrounding area, Europe and the experiences I have had so far. I'm also quite good at photography and with all kinds of technology.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can always teach you some German, something about beer and culture as well as showing you my great optimistic worldview, as there is always something good, even in worst situations :)
