About Me
I recently moved to Saarbrücken and work as a journalist. I've always enjoyed talking about ideas of social behavior and discussing where their structures can be found in culture and everyday life. That's why I'm very interested in other cultures and other people's thoughts and beliefs.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Being able to meet with locals and not having to pay for your accommodation are two aspects that make travelling incredibilly easy. So I simply hope that it helps me to see more parts of the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
There are few things that would count as my hobbies and aren't related to my profession. But I definitely have to name my enjoyment of playing video games and board games and my love for cooking.
Furthermore I absolutely love film and photography and spend a lot of time professionally and in my free time speaking and writing about them or taking some photos myself.
For that reason, it is really hard for me to give just a small sample of what kind of films I like. But some filmmakers I have to name are Wes Anderson, Yorgos Lanthimos and Thomas Vinterberg, as well as Jean-Luc Godard and Vera Chytilová.
My favorite authors are probably Friedrich Dürrenmatt and Elfriede Jelinek. When it comes to my favorite book, there is no way around "Brave New World". I think the way it describes the world's downfall without people even recognising is incredibly frightening if you think about in which ways it is already happening. Additionally, the more abstract themes about liberacy and the many aspects of society and social behaviour are also very interesting.
Music plays a comparatively small role in my life. There are very few genres that I generally dislike, but the ones I hear the most are probably Punk, Grunge, Core and everything in between those.
