ABOUT ME

I'm a Portuguese student currently studying in the Netherlands. I enjoy traveling and living abroad very much. Before the Netherlands (Delft), where I have been for 3 years, I lived in Spokane WA for my senior year of High School.

I have been uncovering a passion for entrepreneurship. I am a fan of Paul Graham's (Y combinator's co-founder) essays, and you will often find me wasting hours on Hacker News, Tech Crunch and other similar sites with an emphasis on start-ups.

But I like a lot more things: design, marketing, finance, business, theater, sports (even baseball), partying, TRAVELLING!, getting lost, cooking (specially desserts), music, coffee, ...

Independently of the end result I love the process to get there. Be it learning, discovering, exploring, opening my eyes to things I had never noticed, ..., you get the picture!

I have just arrived at this corner of the web and currently I am looking to surf. But after I have a bit of experience on how this works I really want to host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a newbie so don't have much to share. However I have met a really cool couch surfer through a friend that was hosting her and I had a great time! So I'm looking forward to update this section very soon :)

兴趣

I really like technology and programming in particular, thats what I do for my studies but also as hobby. I also enjoy meeting people from all over the world, and I am very lucky to have friends from many different countries.

Like any Latin person, for me there are few things better than a great meal with delicious food and wine shared with long time friends or random strangers accompanied by passionate conversations :)

I have recently discovered Ultimate (Frisbee) and I love it!

Movies/TV: the Wire is the best show ever, closely followed by Sopranos. For movies I really liked Godfather, Star Wars, Italian Job and many more.

Music, I like a lot go things and I change genres depending on my mood and context. But Indie Pop/Rock, Classical, Jazz, Bossanova, Chill/Club/House are the ones I end up gravitating more often towards.

So many books so little time. Lately I have been reading books about entrepreneurship, I really like Lean Startup and Startup Owner's Manual, Steve Jobs biography. On the fiction side, some of my favorite books are Lord of the Rings, Don Quixote, Hamlet, Oedipus, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, etc...

Volunteering for one month with kids in Mozambique! There is no sunset like the African.
Living abroad, both for High School (USA) and Uni (Netherlands)!

I am geek (and official Tech support for my family) so I can teach you about computers. Want to learn to program? Great! I am happy to help you . I am also an electrical engineer so I can teach you how to change your light bulbs or how to fix your broken lamp :p

I like to create stuff, tinker, play, experimenting, no matter the field. Do you know carpentry, fixing cars, cooking, lego sculptures, and would like to teach it? I am in! One of my favorite activities is learning new stuff so just tell me what to do!
