COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My main interest is about stories, different opinions and discovering. In all this couchsurfing experiences it was awesome when I was not just visting some places, my host was talking about his/her life, giving his/her opinion about their cities, their lifes, the books they loved most, what they think about their countries, why do they travel.

Each different contact changed something about me. And I feel that most of couchsurfers are the same. It has to have some really good reason beyond the vague label of "cultural exchange" for people opening their houses to strangers, and at the same time for people going to stranger's houses. And it fascinates me, I do not have an answer, but I am trying to figure it out.

兴趣

What I love to do in my free time is related to what I love most: litterature, movies, music, photography and topics related to art, society and philosophy also. I think that we all have to change impressions and talk about experiences in these topics, so I really enjoy a nice talk.

音乐、电影和书籍

There are a lot of them, but if I had to recollect some, I would say that my favourite books are "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Garcia Marquez, "Lolita" by Nabokov, "Steppenwolf" by Hermann Hesse and "The Red and the Black" by Stendhal. Other authors, in many fields: Clarice Lispector, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Dostoievsky, Kafka, Marx, Fredric Jameson, Machado de Assis, Balzac...

About movies, I would pick up "Melancholia", "Sunset Boulevard", "Persona" and "The Piano Teacher" as the best movies for me. But I love Almodovar, Tarantino, Woody Allen, Kubrick, Glauber Rocha, Godard and other directors.

In music, what I like most is Brazilian music, mainly Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Gilberto Gil, Elis Regina, Gal Costa ( <3 ), Tulipa Ruiz. I listen to some pop music, and a few rock bands too.

I couldn't teach anything, but I could exchange my impressions about philosophy, economics, movies and litterature.

I always change my concepts and my opinions after meeting new people, each contact has a great influence in me, and makes me think about my thoughts and feelings, so I am really opened to learn a lot of different things.
