ABOUT ME

I'm a film production student, but in a situation where not sure if that is the career I want. Spend the majority of my time reading, watching films and good TV shows, listening/reading about music and going to more gigs that I can financially managed and also having a passive to active interest in politics. Apart from that I can be found in different real ale stocking bars throughout York or working as waiter at little vegetarian cafe/deli. Oh yeah I'm also vegetarian.

PHILOSOPHY

I have a pretty lucid personal philosophy but some principles I hold:

-I try to aim to call out hypocricsy, racism, sexism etc. any time I see it.

-Vegetarian so I have a belief that animals should not be bred, reared and slaughtered for meat or otherwise.I say I have a strong belief in the power of nature and evolution, so the fact I can survive without meat means that it fits into nature's "plan". Would turn vegan, but more willpower is limited.

-Try and learn and gain knowledge when I can. If I haven't learned anything new in a day, be it from a book, film, newspaper, whatever, I feel like i is a wasted day.

-My friend came up with a crude yet perfect rule to live life by - "Don't Be A Dick". If you just apply that to everything choice you make, or anything you say, you should come off alright. Like i said crude, but full proof.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Currently brand new to this! My aim is to get travelling this year, just get out there and experience something new! Possibly having the ability to host over summer, but live a shared student house so not my decision to say so.

Música, películas y libros

Music - Get it out of the way, I'm unashamed and huge Smiths fan. Yeah one of those that a waaay to into them.

But apart from that I say my music taste is quite ecclectric. Listen to a lot post-punk music, 80's/90's indie rock, really into the seattle grunge scene, Post-Rock music, some IDM and other electronic based music, singer songwriter, bit of 90's gangster rap, canadian/american indie rock (Arcade Fire, The National 7 the like), some alt-country, and tend to keep up with whatever NME are telling people what is cool.

Film - I just watch anything, not to sound snobish, but good films! Two all time favorite films are - Boogie Nights and Blade Runner.

Not going to list all the books I have read, but my top authors are Haruki Murakami, Richard Yates, George Orwell, J.R.R Tolkien and Franz Kafka (Haven't fully explored and re read his stuff, but already love him)
