Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Hércules Morais. I am an artist, philosopher, and multidisciplinary researcher from São Paulo, Brazil. I’m currently pursuing a dual PhD in Medicine at the Paulista School of Medicine (UNIFESP) and Psychology at the University of Zaragoza, Spain. Next year, I’ll be living in both Oxford and London to continue my research, with an international mention in Oxford, where I’ll focus on mindfulness, neuroscience, and well-being.
I’m passionate about art, well-being, and exploring how these fields intersect to enhance the quality of life. During my time in England, I’ll be developing a mindfulness protocol aimed at helping people find purpose in life and improve mental health.
I love meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and exchanging experiences. I believe that every connection adds something valuable to life.

Interests
I’m passionate about philosophy, especially the mind and human experience. Mindfulness and meditation are a big part of my life and research, focusing on how they improve mental health and help people find purpose.
I’ve worked in theater for years and believe in the power of creativity and expression for personal growth. I’m also deeply interested in psychology and neuroscience, exploring how the brain responds to art and how this can enhance well-being.
Music, Movies, and Books
I have a wide range of musical tastes, from Brazilian music like bossa nova and MPB to classical music, jazz, and world music. I enjoy music that connects deeply with emotions and tells a story.
When it comes to books, I’m particularly interested in philosophy, psychology, and literature that explores the human condition. Some of my favorite authors include Merleau-Ponty, Dostoievsky, Fernando Pessoa, and Machado de Assis. I also enjoy books that dive into mindfulness and well-being.
As for movies, I love films that are thought-provoking and artistic. I enjoy Brazilian cinema as well as international films that explore different cultures and perspectives. Documentaries on art, psychology, and human experiences are always fascinating to me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most incredible things I’ve done was participate in an artistic and research expedition through Brazil’s biomes, documenting endangered environments and their unique cultures. This project combined my passions for art, nature, and social justice, and it allowed me to meet inspiring people and witness the beauty and fragility of these ecosystems firsthand. It was a transformative experience that deepened my understanding of Brazil's environmental and cultural diversity.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach mindfulness techniques, meditation practices, and share insights from my experience in theater and philosophy. I’m always happy to share Brazilian culture, including language, arts, and customs.
I’m also eager to improve my English while learning about other cultures, languages, and local traditions. I believe in the power of cultural exchange and love the idea of learning through real-life conversations.
Together, we can share stories, experiences, and explore new perspectives on life!
