ABOUT ME

Hey y'al! I'm Jonathan! I'm currently living in Shrewsbury where I'm getting to know the fine arts of growing and foraging my own food, taking photographs of everything and cycling everywhere. I'm a Yorkshire lad at heart and my hometown is Leeds in England's North.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to constantly explore pastures new. I'm a documentor and I love taking photographs, making them perfect and using them to share my experiences with people everywhere!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My CS journey began in the U.S. during the summer of 2009 and having enjoyed the experience so much I've tried to give something back to the project, in terms of a friendly couch! I'd like to attend meetings to make sure that the experience I give fellow surfers as a host, will be as awesome as possible :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed across the states in the summer of 2009 and met lots of awesome people! It definitely offers what I look for in terms of places to stay in less touristy areas. I've hosted a few people but I don't get requests too often where I live!

Centres d'intérêt

Photography - shooting landscapes and star trails are my favourite thing!

Cycling and hiking! Backpacking awesome! I love planning trips and standing on new mountain tops!

Playing badminton - When I have chance.

I dabble in beer brewing but this year I'm growing things - herbs and giant sunflowers!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

For movies anything funny or scary usually entertains me. I have an eclectic music taste and like allsorts from Muse to Run DMC. To be honest I'm not much of a reader but I do find my travel guides somewhat interesting! I read alot of photomags as well to try and learn new techniques in order to capture the "perfect photo".

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

The year I spent abroad from England in California was amazing. It's hard to pick a single thing from all my travels so it's easier to summerise the whole thing as being awesome! From staying in Santa Cruz I've visited Death valley, Yosemite, Big Sur, San Francisco, LA, San Diego, Zion NP in Utah, NYC for new year, Toronto, Montreal, Niagara Falls the list goes on!

I have an abundence of crazy brit food recipes in my mind that I love sharing with people. I'd be happy to go on photo-ventures with people too and help them hone their skills!
