My name is Hermes.

I was born in Belgium. When I was 6 years old, my family packed all our stuff, together with me, in our old, bohemian (just to use an euphemism for 'broken'), car. We left this little grey country, called Belgium, behind us, to reach this beautiful boot-country called Italy. It was a magic afternoon when we arrived in what was going to be my new hometown, Calcata, a little village with a few hundreds of inhabitans, close to Rome. It was incredibly sunny, and I had never seen such a kind of light, and such a kind of blue in the sky.
Since then my life has changed, and I've become something that can be called a dreamer, a traveller, a schizophrenic or a cosmopolitan. My nature split into two, and since then has never stopped splitting into other little pieces.
I didn't know the language, I didn't know any of the kids I saw, as first, when we arrived in the 'piazza' with all our luggage. But it was hot, all those kids were so fascinating for me, so different than me, they had dark hair and this beautiful brown skin. They looked wild and happy. One of those kids gave me his hand, he wanted me to follow him, I couldn't understand it from what he was saying, but I did understand through his eyes and his smile. So I followed him. I had already forgotten from where I was coming, I was born my second time, and I learned my first word, again, 'vaffanculo', and I didn't speak again my mother language for a long time.

I think my personal story gave me the great opportunity to aprreciate diversity. I just love life, it's not always easy, but it's worth of it.
Life just made me really curious. A love many things. And what I don't love, what makes me sad, or angry, makes me want to understand those things.

For the rest I'm much more simple than how those words look like. I'm a naturally non-thinker. I mean, it's not that I don't think, but it's more like having a song on my mind. Indeed I love music, and I love to play guitar and to sing. Maybe the only way I have to be truly my self is to take a guitar and start singing!

I guess I had to write something about me, I hope it's not too boring. Hope to see some of you around, and to share some good moments.
