To see the world and learn as many languages as possible
In early 2011 I said goodbye to my job, my family, my friends and life that I knew in Australia.
I crossed into the Northern Hemisphere with Europe as my target.
I landed in London, UK and by chance walked into a vegan community run cafe in Hackney. Here I found my new European family and friends.
Over the last 2 years I have lived in communal spaces, cafes, floors, couches, self-made wooden palette built rooms in empty warehouses and empty pubs.
I have travelled through over 15 countries by any means necessary, a lot of standing by the side of the road with my thumb out.
Then I found myself across the Atlantic in the USA. I tried to see as much as the country as an empty wallet would allow me.
Now I am back in Europe. Moved away from the UK and to Finland.
Living here now in Turku. Learning Finnish and probably enjoying the most comfortable conditions in the last 3 years.
Life's too short to make others shorter.
Happiness and Money should never be used in the same equation.
Release the slaves - Go Vegan.
None are free until all are free.
The world has been stolen. The people have been brainwashed, conditioned and institutionalised. Creatures treated like machines. This veil of ignorance is overdue to be lifted.
Anything where people mix passion and creativity will draw me in.
I love to read, draw and listen/make music.
Enjoying the simple things in life.
Learning more about the world.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - I worked in a video store, so I have watched more films than one can remember and I can always find a positive about any movie. 80's/90's Films, Anything thought provoking and all the classics plus Japanese Anime.
Music - Punk Music, Hardcore music & Music for a cause! plus everything else.
Books - 1984, Brave New World, The Art of War, Lord of the Flies, The power of nature - Lao Tzu, Douglas Adams, Noam Chomsky, Ray Bradbury, J.R Tolkien, Charles Dickens.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It has been amazing to watch myself from third person view and watch how I have grown from my experiences throughout life.
Physical things I have seen.
Nature from the moment I was born to when I left in Australia.
London in flames from riots.
Low lying mist early in the morning on the Portugal-Spain Coastline surrounded by Andalusian Swallows flying in a group whilst the giant human-made wind turbines spin eerily slow with the onshore winds.
The mountains of Switzerland popping out of the clouds whilst driving through Mid-Eastern France.
A girl I fell in love with in Poland at a gathering.
New Haven, Connecticut in the Fall climbing a cliff and seeing the auburn leaves as far as the eye can see.
Hurricane Sandy in New York.
Montréal sunset over the city.
The metres of deep snow that lie around Southern Finland on my arrival here. Seriously it was amazing.
The Northern Lights in Lapland 3 nights in a row the sky danced green and blue.
The mountainous stretched of coastline in Northern Norway. This will never be described properly so I won't try, but it was amazing.
