About Me
CURRENT MISSION
live in the moment. not have regrets and limit my doubts.
ABOUT ME
i'm an easy going person who enjoys good conversation. i like folks with a clean sense of humor who respect life and nature
PHILOSOPHY
you need a balance in everything.
you should live because you love life, challenges included, because they make you stronger. other than the essentials for physical survival, friends and family (community), culture, and nature are the most important things
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
so far i've only met up with a few other surfers in this area :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
i became a member awhile ago but haven't yet taken the right sort of 'trip' to take advantage of this great site!
Interests
the great outdoors, good food and good company, rock climbing (i'm a beginner), hiking, cycling (i'm a beginner here too because i discovered these passions just recently--living in lombardy so close to the alps, where so many folks bike and hike), swimming, classical and folk music, art, reading, frisbee, farming, traveling, playing cards

Music, Movies, and Books
hm...just to name a few...films with audrey hepburn, the marx brothers, most with johnny depp, meryl streep, jodie foster...benigni... books i've just finished or am reading include: a new earth, extremely loud and incredibly close, the green economy, io non ho paura, plenty
music: err...i'm not a buff. but recently i've been listening to a lot of iron and wine, melody gardot. when i'm cleaning I like to listen to nrp science friday podcasts :) some of my classic favs are the beatles and jodie mitchell
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
i guess i have a few semi-amazing experiences, but nothing particularly awesome... i've wwoofed (in veneto, italy, a few summers ago). it was an incredible experience. i met some really cool folks too. worked on a goat farm on the side of a mt outside of belluno and a strawbail house...i've also spent 6 months living in a yurt and working on my college's farm. all of my farming experience has been pretty great.
Teach, Learn, Share
hm...a yurt is a cylindrical Mongolian tent, often with fire place in the center and a whole in the top (mine had a sky dome). they've become popular in parks in the US. since it's a circle, they're really strong structures...but that doesn't mean that they'll stay up in gale force winds ;) (luckily i didn't live there anymore when the top blew off mine!)
