About Me

I'm a dedicated solo traveler from Japan. I set off to travel the world alone starting on July 31, 2025. I have always been fascinated by foreign cultures and the idea of truly immersing myself in different ways of life. This trip is not just a vacation; it's a deep-dive into the global community, and I'm very excited about the new perspectives and unforgettable memories I'm going to gain along the way. I believe that stepping out of my comfort zone is the best way to learn and grow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing primarily because I would like to save money and, more importantly, to communicate and connect with people on a deeper, local level. While budget is a factor for a long trip, my main goal is to meet genuine people, hear their stories, and experience life the way locals do. I believe that staying with a host is the absolute best way to understand a culture beyond the guidebooks. I'm hoping to share meals, conversations, and laughs with my hosts.

Interests

Foreign cultures are my main passion. Beyond that, I am interested in:
• Learning languages: Always trying to pick up local phrases.
• Local markets and street food: I love exploring where locals shop and eat.
• History and architecture: I enjoy visiting historical sites and understanding their background.
• Reading: Especially books from the countries I'm visiting.
• Walking/Hiking: Exploring cities and nature on foot.

  • reading books
  • playing games

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite genre is Mystery. I love anything that challenges me to solve a puzzle, whether it's a gripping detective novel, a suspenseful film, or even a podcast. I enjoy the intellectual stimulation and the unexpected twists that mystery stories offer. I'm always open to recommendations for local mystery writers or must-watch movies from your country!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The decision to travel alone around the world from July 31, 2025, is one of the biggest and most amazing things I've done. It required significant courage to leave my stable life and professional career. I've spent a lot of time mapping out my initial route, saving diligently, and getting mentally ready for the challenges and joys of long-term solo travel. This commitment shows my passion for exploration and my ability to plan and execute a major, long-term goal.

Teach, Learn, Share

I previously worked for a logistics company in Japan. This experience taught me a lot about organization, efficiency, and problem-solving, which are skills I'm definitely bringing on my travels! I'm also very keen on learning new skills and languages. I'd be thrilled to learn about your professional field, local cooking techniques, or even just some basic phrases in your native language.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Japanese culture : I am happy to share many aspects of Japanese culture! I can teach you some basic Japanese phrases, show you how to fold beautiful origami, or share insights into Japanese customs and etiquette (like why we bow and how to use chopsticks properly). I can even try my hand at making a simple, authentic Japanese dish if you let me use your kitchen! I love answering questions about Japan, so please ask me anything you're curious about.
