ABOUT ME

I am a vagabond at heart - to travel simply is to live, to breathe. There is no greater thrill for me than being in a far away place where you may not understand the language and must learn how to converse, get along, and make friends - and explore the world at the same time!!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe we were put here to help each other. We do that in many ways, including participating in couch surfing and making friends. I want to help as much as I can.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Intelligent, humourous, playful, easy going, active and seeking adventure of all sorts. I love to hike, cycle, and be outside as much as possible. I love wine, chocolate, coffee, and anything I`ve never tried before. I am generous, friendly, and accommodating with others and their quirks (as I expect them to be of mine). I love to talk to people about their lives, their experiences, and their dreams. We all have to get along, so let`s have some fun while we do!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Absolutely fantastic! I stayed with several really wonderful people in Paris, and really benefitted from their insider's view of the city!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycled solo through the Orkney Islands in Scotland for two weeks; enjoyed two weeks in Athens and the island of Idhra; am a parent of two incredible, wildly different people; hiked the most difficult route in the White Mountains (Huntingdon Ravine, New Hampshire); visited Auschwitz in Poland; had a loaded rifle pointed at me in the Czech Republic when I walked around at the border; helped the sick and needy in the developing world get essential medicine; made some amazing friends
